The Children’s Cancer Foundation organised the Hair for Hope event - where volunteers shaved their heads in bid to send a message of love & hope to children with cancer. I mean it is admirable & commendable act, but i do not see how this motivates the children to fight cancer or that the people care for them?
Just by showing that we can shed our hair too - it means we understand their circumstances & what they goes through ? I don’t think there’s anyone in this world who thinks cancer is easy to deal with.. so really, i don’t see why every shaven head shows support to the child with cancer.
We should show our support through our actions & time spent with these children. Empowering them that they can fight this. Providing emotional support to FIGHT the cancer not ‘i can understand so I shave my head’.
